Short Stories in books

Have you read Stephen King's new book Full Dark, No Stars? It looks so good. I keep thinking about a book with a few short stories not sure how many. I just wonder if people like that. I always do. Its fun to have a story to read each day, like a grown up bedtime story.

NaNo Missed it.

Well I am kicking myself I didn't do NaNo. I know always next year. Now if I had a staff to all the things needed done around here. LOL
We had a great Thanksgiving here. No over eating or turkey comas. Just some nice family time and we got our closets cleaned out. I had some things to go to charity. My family has things they haven't used in forever and hard for them to part with. I feel if I don't use it someone else will. I am not one to hold on to things forever. I just hold on to the loved ones forever.
Well I have a few short stories hanging out in my brain. I will get them on paper/computer this week as I wait. I get so much done waiting on appointments. Dr.s offices are a great place to write you have to wait, after all what Dr. is ever on time. Mine I can count on a good hour wait.
I saw this new show on A&E  The Ghost Prophecies this evening. The team was in New Mexico one of my favorite states to visit. I know many think of ghost in castles, but here in America are so many ghost too. Yes younger than those in Europe but none the less ghost.
So let me know. Do you like ghost stories based on true stories? Do you think ghost will hurt you?

Web sites and Writing

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone in America. Its Thanksgiving week here in America. I am really not that in to it. I will make a small turkey for my family. No I wont be out crazy shopping on Black Friday either. I am going to stay home and write.
I have met a guy who does great websites so if you need one please give him a e-mail. I have seen his work and all I can say is WOW! Now when I can afford do have one built I am calling him. you can reach him at infor at liveparanormal dot com. So you need a site e-mail him. Any way he is a cool follow also on twitter.
I have been doing some thinking about a Novella for next fall. I have met a few really good writers on twitter and a few in mind. Each of us write our story in our own scary way. I have seen such books in England and they work so well. So would you like a book with three stories from three writers?

Weekend

Just a quick note to say Hi and thank you again. Princess went to the vet today, she is well. Just two pounds chubby. Took her shopping afterwards for a toy she was so good.

Not enough writing.

Thank you everyone who so kindly reads my blog. Its hard for me to write I am a bit shy in real life. Well my Son is now taking great interest in my work. He informed me I needed a Fan Page on Facebook.Which he made and a Facebook page for the Princess. He will also do Photography for my work, he is really so good at it. Also he offered to do some editing and help me with e-book things. He is helping which is nice, scary, but nice. I can see him being my boss, that's what scares me. He also put two of my short stories on the fan page. He is still showing me how it all works. I thought I was doing well with a blog LOL.
I was also reminded by my son that the books weren't all mine that were ate by termites. I do have a family, members who say, they just want to be invisible. Whisper they really are nice too.
I had my flu shot today so this week this is all the writing I have done, so far. But boy do I have a few ideas in my little head. So tomorrow my Dragon is going to be installed and I plan to write all day. That being said...
We will have a small Thanksgiving dinner we really aren't big on it here. I call it the pig out, pass out day for America. I always feel guilty if I over eat. Its so sad so many in this world don't eat well or at all. I buy baby food for food drives every year. I hate to think of some child starving here. Its gutting to me that its the 21st Century and we still have so much poverty all over the world. So if you can afford to please give to you local food banks. I also buy nappy's/diapers and baby bottom wipes. Any small amount helps.
I am such a lucky person with a great family who supports me and a wonderful Princess dog. Off my soap box. I would like to hear what do you do to help others?

Ruined Books

Its been a very busy last few days for me. As I was moving books to paint the den I found bugs eating my books. It turned out to be termites. The bug man came cleaned up those and then said he will be back this week to put a moat around my house and fill with termite killer. I will also have holes in my walls filled with termite be-gone. All I know is it is pet safe. During this process I have lost a total of 50 books. I know that seems a lot to some, and few to others. I have over 2000 books. Each one is special in its own way. My first editions and autographed ones are fine. All my Stephen King are fine as well.
The cost is high over 1000$. Which is my travel money, I should say was my travel money. I have been so lucky to have lived all over the world and never have I had bugs. I lived in the Azores not so much as an ant. After moving to Tucson I have had ants, crickets and now these evil termites. I hope none of you ever get these things.
I have had little time to do writing this week. A one day job took three days. At least the den is painted. Thank you for following I do hope I haven't bored you too much. So Tomorrow I install Dragon it came in the post today so things are looking up. I am off to have a cup of tea, so how has your week been?

Writing

Well I seem to get little time to do my writing this week. It seems everyone needs me to do this or that. Also I need to look at the formating for Kindle, that is one of a few. My help is playing with my Princess. I agree she is more fun than I am now.
This past weekend I ordered Dragon software for my computer so I can write faster. Can't wait until its here. It was 100$ at Best Buys but my dear friend told me to look at QVC, it was 59$ on their site. Anytime I save money I am a happy lady. Funny thing she talks about the Telly station so much. On my trip to London in September we drove pass the UK one on the way to the Airport! I had to take a picture of it for her, the driver so nice laughed. He said my Misses saw that in New York last year we go every year to see the Macy's Parade. Got to love fun drivers when you travel. He was real nice and pointed out things to my son on the way to Heathrow. I was wondering do you chat up your Taxi drivers when you travel about?

Morning coffee and Thinking

This blog is about what I do. I write and travel some. Most of the time lately I have been thinking. I have watched others do well and struggle like I do. I am going to find out if I can turn my first book 'Dust of Tombstone' in to an e-book.
 I think the stress of trying to get an agent and traditional publishing has slowed me down on writing my second book. I can not spend all day sending out letters and never hearing a word back. I once tried outside the box it was a failure too. I don't think I am a failure I think I am just one of many who get over looked. If we were all silly chat show host we could get book deals out our ears.
I have two things in the works and have been told those are great ideas. The one idea that won't leave my head is about ghost. I was asked if I believed in ghost recently I said yes why? No answer. I grew up in the UK and as a kid one house I lived in we had a lady ghost. She was beautiful to me, I didn't know until much older she was from the 1700s. She appeared when I would lay on my stomach in front of the fireplace in my room and read. She would just smile and nod her head. After all a lady from 1700s would encourage a girl to read and learn, most even gentry were uneducated.

Halloween

Halloween is over so sad. It's a holiday everyone wins. You can dress up in fancy dress and stuff yourself silly with candy. Well I guess I better get my self going on building my Guy Fawkes doll. Burning him is Friday night, Bon Fire night. So did you have a Great Pumpkin Halloween?
