Spring, new do and picture book.

Another spring in the desert for me. It has been in the 80's this week and now this weekend we are told cold and rain. All I can say is I am not happy its hot so early. 
I am trying to find out which program I will use for the Coffee Table book of WWII pictures my dad took. Now that is a mouth full. I have how I want them. I printed them out and set them in order. It is time consuming to do. I wish I knew the order they were taken in. I was just given a plastic sandwich bag full of film strips rolled up with paperclips and rubber bands. The film had been stored in damp areas, hot attics and so the paperclips rusted and the rubber bands melted. I found a place in Sun City Az. to put the pictures on a CD. They got them all on a CD. They did every picture even the half bits of pictures. That was 10 years ago. I had no idea what to do with the pictures until my son said a book. So if you know any WWII fans who can steer me to blogs who would like to feature it let me know.
I also want to take time to thank my friends. Your support, love and games have helped me not think about my neck. You are all wonderful beyond words. No word yet as to why I still feel like I am choking. CT scan Dr said I can see the lump, that was before the scan. OH well. Thanks for the Love!
So now back to work for me I have the book I am working on sadly mostly in my head planned out. I need mundane things to stop interfering with my work. One good thing I had my hair done and feel Fab! My son took the picture quick.

Loads of Photos, blogs I have missed.

I haven't had the time to read all the blogs I enjoy. The few I did were all good fun. Chicks That dig Sports, Dime Store Novels and Pepi's work. I read Aunt Francy's last blog too. I just could not get to all of the blogs. I will catch up someday.
I have been going through over 300 photos my Dad took. I have no idea who some of these people are. I did ask a friend of his he said he didn't know them either.  So what to do with these photos? I am debating as to putting them in the picture book. Many of the pictures are double exposure so they have cool look to them. I have identified all the aircraft and landmarks thanks to the Pima Air Museum. I am no expert on WWII but I understand the pictures are something WWII buff's will love. Now to title the book. Any suggestions welcome and you get credit for it!
Having finished my outline for a book too. It seems a bit long for just one story. My son says just write and we will see.
As for my health, I am feeling better. Still have a lump on my throat and feel off. I find out next week I hope why.

Censorship and Banning Art

This is the twenty-first century and its time we all respect each other. So you may not always agree with someones opinion. So do we ban all books we find disagreeable with our thoughts or morals? What about a piece of art you may not like? How about the facts in history we find uncomfortable? So do censor them all? After all you may be offend by something. I don't always agree with everyone but they have a right to an opinion, I mine and you yours. We should support each others right to write, paint, lifestyles and photographs. 
Let us all accept each other as we are. No, you don't have to read or look at things that you don't agree with. But defend the rights of others to. I write about ghosts and things that go bump in the night and things that may not be. Many don't believe in these things thats Ok. 
Please do not censor my books or anyones book of fiction. I am a lucky person and know many wonderful writers and I would never want any of their books banned because someone finds it offensive. So ask your self do you want someone to tell you what to read, look at or how you should live? If it's no then don't let them censor the internet. A friend said to me "Draconian measures are not the answers." Nicely said.
I am resting and recovering from emergency surgery last week on my neck. So when you don't see me please know I am trying to get better quick. To all who knew and have been sending me love and games thank you, love you all. I will tweet more tomorrow.

NaNowrimo and Coffin Hop Thank you.

I was asked what I was doing this month with NaNowrimo. I sadly failed! Well, failed is wrong. I was interrupted by life yet again. Life gets in the way of your plans as you make a list of what to do. Then you are thrown another list of things. I do not feel bad I know I am with thousands of others who tried. It's OK I have a good start on a novel anyway. I know how hard others are working and I am thrilled for them. I hope that everyone I know who is writing a novel this month soars.
Princess and I have gotten much done. All my Christmas shopping is done, house is clean for estate agents and I did write. 
I also wanted to take this time to thank all the writers in Coffin Hop who shared so much of their time on blogs. It was good fun and I learned so much. I meet so many wonderful writers. Also Thank all of you who read our books and blogs. Thank you.

Bonfire Night, Guy Fawkes

Guy Fawkes day, I am not sure what people really know about it. Its's a historical event not a movie or what is going on in current events. To me it's what as a kid something we did every year. We went to a bonfire and burned our Guy Fawkes dolls we made in school. It is the 'The Gunpowder Plot' to blow up the house of Lords. Another event in my childhood I still do. I was the kid who wanted to see the bad stuff in history and was often disappointed. I saw no beheadings, no burnings at Smithfield and no wars live and in colour. School trips can let you down.
Growing up in England school trips were so fun to historical sites. The down part was no I didn't see Anne Boleyn beheaded, Lord Nelson win a war or any other of the fun gory stuff. I still love History anyway. So I burn Guy Fawkes he didn't take down the Empire known as Great Britain. I am glad he didn't.

 So no matter what the political people are doing, the image in use is Guy Fawkes, learn the history first. Then let me rule the world with Princess. Sadly no fireworks here in Arizona, but at least it I have cool weather for a change. Lets all repeat the poem we learned in school:

Tower Bridge, Tower of London

Hello Coffin-Hoppers, thank you for coming back for more. Well, we are standing on Tower Bridge. Unlike that silly woman I over heard say to her kids this is London Bridge. Yes, I corrected her. If you want to see London Bridge you need to head to American. It is proudly sitting On Lake Havasu, in Arizona. I hear its good to visit there.
Now Tower Bridge was built in Victorian era. Sadly many died building it. It still raises to let boats pass under and you can follow it on twitter. twrbrdg_itself Its good fun. This bridge took eight years to build. Let walk from over the bridge to The Tower of London.

As you can just across the bridge is The Tower of London. We are on the North side of the river. This castle is was mostly built in the 13th century. It has been used as a prison up through the second world war. You find the Jewel House here where the Crown Jewels are keep. You have to stand in a queue to see jewels always. You can see the pearls that Queen Elizabeth I worn dangling from the crowns. Princess was mad I didn't bring a crown home to her. You can see why I said wear walking shoes, the cobble stones can be hard your feet. Traders Gate is where many unfortunate souls like Queen Anne Boleyn came in to the Tower. Now as for the ghosts there are many here. The two small prince's are just two you could see.  Walk through this castle you are walking through history of England. My first visit was on a school trip in grade school. I disappointed when we couldn't see a beheading. It's a fun place to walk around.

Lets Walk around, London is Epic and Haunted.

Welcome back. I do hope you have your walking shoes on. Well, we are standing on the middle Westminster Bridge near the Houses of Parliament. No thats not Big Ben that is the clock tower Big Ben is the bell. Oh, that man walking under the bridge ignore him and don't go running across the bridge to see him. He is a ghost and never goes out the other side. If you get hit by traffic it will upset your family. Please stay on the walk, this bridge is very busy. Now across the river from the houses of Parliament that is Lambert Palace, whats left of it. You have seen the view from there many times on telly when they do stories about London or Great Britain.

Now the Houses of Parliament it is a must do tour. When I was here with my son last fall we sat in on the House of Commons. You sit in an upper gallery and watch from above. You can feel the centuries of history and law making. Walking through the building you can see the history of the UK unfold. Now is it haunted? Well, depends on who you ask. I say yes you can feel the ghosts watching you. Maybe even Mr. Guy Fawkes, remember the 5th of Nov., just saying. So when you have time take a tour online.....

So lets head back over the bridge to Queens Walk. No, we wont walk all the way to Tower Bridge today lets just hang out here in Westminster or as some say Central London. The Thames River is lovely to walk along and spend time on people watching, eating, and so close to fun things. The London Eye is here and the view is Fab! It's a huge Ferris wheel I love riding it. I took these pictures of my ride.

So lets go sit on the benches and have a cuppa and watch the people. You know many say they feel the ghosts walk by. Behind us is the London Aquarium. I have yet to see inside it. Haunted Coffin Blog Hop

                                             

Welcome to my Coffin Blog. 

I was wondering what would you like to read. I like to read about places with hauntings. I thought you may like to read a small bit about Tucson, Arizona, USA. No, I am not from here, I live here now. Well, just a while anyway. 

When you come to Tucson you have a choice of many wonder resorts to stay in. Myself I like to stay some place that's different. One of the oldest hotels here is Hotel Congress in downtown Tucson. The tiles on the floor, the elegant Cooper Hall, Cup Cafe a nice lunch spot. It has concerts, fun bar and ghosts. It is just a beautiful place. The patio is nice to sit on with a cuppa, waiting for a ghosts. I have never seen the ghosts there, but all the more reason to return. I hear there is a lady ghost and a man who looks out the windows. Bring your camera to catch them.  It was built in 1912. It has the feel of the Southwest without being cheap. Not that campy stuff you laugh at along the road. You feel as if you are sitting in the 20's through 40's building. It's very colourful and calm, I like to have lunch there. The American desert is dry and dusty. We seem to have a lot of wind which make Haboobs, massive dust storms that cover miles. What happens in these dust storms? For most nothing for many of the characters in my work a lot of bad. I will be giving away Haunted Bedtime Stories e-book. The lucky person will be my 900th follower on twitter. 9-11 Ten years ago.

Its hard to believe ten years ago I was teaching Photography. I remember that day so well. As I was getting ready for school I was told the World Trade Center had been hit. I just couldn't believe it. I had to be at school at 6.30 am. When I got to school it was so quiet. We were told let the kids see TV and keep them as calm as you can. My classes were Seniors and Juniors. Most of the kids came to school. I told each of my classes how proud I was of them. They were never to let someone or some group keep them from their goals and dreams.
I miss the classroom and going to school each day. Due to a condition I can't work full time, sadly can't teach anymore. That was my final year teaching. I am glad all my students came to school and have lived each day as hard working people. I am sorry that a few of my students died in the wars that followed. These kids had so much to give.
Well, I hope we can learn from the past to never repeat it but sadly I fear that wont happen.

E-Book art is hard,what to do waiting, books and Huckleberry Finn.

I Have been very busy around here. I making my book into a e-book and hope to print a few in paperback. Sounds easy right, basically it is, but then you need the Art and a Bar code. So now this is where I am at the Art and Bar code. I think putting it out on Amazon is going to be best for me. I have done a my research and feel they are best for my work.
So Art, well my book is about the American Southwest but its not a Western. So my problem a modern cover which goes on in Tombstone, Arizona. Its not what you call a modern city look. You can get WiFi all over in the town too! I will get some advice from a dear friend Natalie a graphic artist. If you need art work check out her website. http://www.natalieannsilva.com/
I was ask if I gave advice on writing, no. I think we all have our own way of doing things. I like to start a story with a notebook and pen and just write, no paragraphs and spelling is my shorthand. One bit of advice if you do write a book don't send it in on pink paper with your pretty handwriting in gold ink. I hear they don't like that at all LOL.
When I go somewhere I have my notebook and a book to read depending on my mood. I keep books in my car you never know when your going to have a long wait then you have something to do. Also you can't always get free WiFi for your mobile or laptop. I have an artist friend she keeps art supplies in her tote bag and draws. She can draw any animal so realistic.
As those of you who kindly follow my tweets know I got on the soap box mad. Sorry but I was upset that some fool felt the need to change Mark Twain's book Huckleberry Finn. This book is making a point, Racism is wrong and so is Slavery. I strongly feel that racism and slavery is wrong and sadly is still going on in this world. If we cover up the past, ignore the past we are doomed to repeat it. Those who think that it's cool to rewrite Huckleberry Finn need to read it and then read and comprehend 1984 as well as Fahrenheit 451. It will scare the daylights out of them. Off that soap box now.
