Thank you and Haunted Bedtime Stories news.

I have a busy week ahead of me. You wont see me for a few days I am to have surgery on my foot. It's badly needed. My fun crazy friends suggested I tweet while on pain killers. No not a good idea! I would be swearing at the telly or something. I will be fine, you just can't kill evil. So this is for all of you thank you for #MM #WW which is writers Wednesday, wine Wednesday or Woof Wednesday take your pick. I hope to be back by #FF if not I am sorry. I will miss having coffee in the morning with you. Also Thank you so much for all the well wishes makes me so happy I have so many kind friends.
At last the next book has a title it is 'Haunted Bedtime Stories' It will have 5 to 6 short stories and most are ghosts. I still have a bit of work to do on it. Its at the editors now so far I hear good things about it. I hope you will like it. The few who have read Haunted Bedtime Stories love it. There is a bit of fun in it as well. Every great horror writer I have met has had a great sense of humor. Check out Jack Ketchum or Stephen King videos.
As you know I live in Arizona and we have so many fires going on. So many people and pets have been dislocated. Sadly many have lost their homes. Fathers Day

This is Father's Day weekend. Most know that, some have Dads and some not. Dads are not always men some are women who are both Mum and Dad. Who ever Dad is in your life tell him/her thank you for caring and being there. Even if he/she doesn't wish a big fuss just say I love you.
Here in Arizona, most of the state is on fire. I live between fires and can smell the smoke and see it. Many have had to leave their homes not knowing what will become of house they call home. I hope you will pray for them and their pets. It is very dry here if you live here please be careful with BBQ's, camp fires, fireworks and no cigarettes butts out the car windows.
I want to thank you all for following and well wishes. Also thank you for buying my book. I am working hard on the short stories book. It is being edited now. I will let you know when it is coming out.

Animals and writing

I don't rant very often but I have today. It is wrong on so many levels to harm, kill and dump an animal. So I had a good rant after I tried for days to get that poor dog taken off the side of the road. I know the fires here in Arizona are important. I can smell the smoke. Animals are too.
The last few weeks I have been thinking what can I do to help animal charities, I know that are legit. So here goes. How many writers I know would take just 1 day a month and give half or all their profits? Deposit that amount in a papal account, that only a charity can get? Just once, not every month.  This is only one idea I had about helping animals. I would love to do that for the entire month of July. Please think about. If you want to, let me know. Kindness goes a long way.
Oh, if this bothers you I care so much about animals I don't give a damn. I don't feel strong about politics they all lie. Animals always love you. When you walk in the house they greet you with love.
I have 3 stories at the editors for the next book. I will have the forth by the end of the week.
So I have a very busy week ahead. I do want to thank Leland and Draven guys you're very kind. Also the girls at pub-met for all you support and love. You all keep me going and remind me how important my craziness is.

Short stuff, wild ghosts, blogs and bad weather.

I have been very busy. In the last two weeks I have gotten three stories done and off to be edited. I became an official company with my son and managed to keep thinking. One of the things you do a lot of when you write is think. I think ghosts are running wild in my head some days.  I do outlines in my head, a rough draft on paper and then to the computer to polish it.
I haven't had the time I like to read many blogs. Like you I have a life as well. It is spring still for most of you me its summer 90s F. So during the summer I get most of my heavy writing done. Its just too hot to go out and do much.
This spring has been a sad one, so many have lost their lives due to bad weather. My thoughts are with these people and I wish them and their pets well. If you can give them anything please do. Don't forget the pet food our little four legged kids need to eat as well. Just check out anyone who wants money.

The ghosts want to be written

This week I have learned so much. Mostly that I follow a lot of good people. I was asked why I say nothing political. Hmmm good question, many reasons, I don't wish to offend anyone. Beside someday I will take over the world and want all to love me. HA HA HA HAA Evil laughing here.
I have worked on the short blog, I have worked on short stories book. I lost a bit so I need to re-do much. The ghosts want to be heard badly. So do you like the idea of an extra story on either a book or ebook? It's a thought we have had around here. I have had the whip cracked by Cheri and Francy today. Yes, I am writing. I also have to do some research for things in my story. I hate reading books that the writer hasn't a clue about things they write. I still need about five more hours a day or no sleep.
This week I will get two stories on the flash drive for editing. I hope to have all the short stories on the flash drive by the end of the month. So if editing goes well and timely I can get this out so I don't get yelled at! I can only write so fast.
I have met a few new people also. I met Morgaine, who is writing a great story. I see her as another Stephanie Meyers. Her story I can see taking off into a serial.  She has a great imagination. English is her second language but she is doing very well. I hope she keeps up the great work.
I saw the Black Swan at long last. Yes, it is a real psychological thriller. Very creepy up to the end. I love a good story and this was one.

New computer, writing, cool story and Royal Wedding.

I have a new computer now. The family bought it for me as a Birthday/Mother's Day gift. My PC had been acting up for about 2 months. The battery just died and it was so hot even a cool pad didn't help it. Poor old thing got so hot it quit. So now I am getting used to this new one. Its nice I can read on it. The screen is bright so I hope to get loads of work done. Funny I have killed two computers in six years. I hope this one lasts!
I need to get a few things off the old computer. I did work on a ghost story today. I save my work on a flash so if anything goes wrong... I have a lot of work time to make up for.
I was going to do this earlier today but got lost in a short story by Stephen King in The Atlantic magazine. The story is Herman Woulk is Still Alive. Its a sad tale but you can see how it could be so real. You see these people daily no matter where you live. Some may feel its a stereotype, to me you see this in life. Check it out if you're a King fan.
Did you stay up or get up to see the Royal Wedding? I did. Yes I am a royalist. It was just beautiful with trees in Westminster Abbey. I have been there a few times, you walk on history as you tour the building. Below are some pictures I took the last time I was there. The poets, writers, Kings and Queens are there to see. Bithdays, computers, writers block not, poems and critical people.

This is my Birthday week. I really don't feel any older, just smarter on some things. I think my family should shower me with presents and a trip! OK fantasy over, I guess I will be getting a new laptop. Mine has sadly died a quiet death. Do computers that die come back to haunt new ones or their owners? Now that is a story Stephen King wrote.
I have been reading wonderful blogs in the last week. One about writers block. I do not believe in it. I think you have times you need to kick start your imagination. Watching telly, YouTube and video games just wont cut it. You need fresh air, go for a walk, take a drive or exercise. Myself I do Pilates and walk my Princess. Also I have found that good writers are also good readers. Nothing like a good book to read. Books I have read that are boring seem as if the writer has never read many books. The writer seems to read just one genre and writer also they don't seem to comprehend what they read. I am no expert but that's how I see it.
Also try some poetry. I have been lucky to know a few poets. I am currently reading some poems by Jacqueline Dick. Check out her poems they are so good, to me. Good poems are really hard to write.   http://1emeraldcity.wordpress.com/ .
It seems the self proclaimed experts on writing are attacking blogs. So if they are experts what degrees do they hold? Where can I read their papers on the subject of writing? If you read every book you can get your hands on, on any subject, doesn't make you an expert. Blogs to me are written how you speak. Not perfect English and some times grammar goes out as well. Also the person who is writing it, where are they from? Do they have an accent? Is English a second language to them? Are you perfect? If not, why attack others? I think many do because they have a superiority complex. They even fear you're the competition and can't deal with it. I also noticed they are cowards and don't use their own names. It has happened to me. Sadly the person who did attack me, did it on Amazon. I know who it is, he wrote the same thing in an e-mail to me. Usually they are vague, use generalities and can't give you an exact example. If you can't say anything nice just don't say anything. I refuse to lower myself to their level, being petty and immature does you no good.
Well I need to get to work finding a computer that will last, work hard and be easy to use for me. I am also reading Full Dark No Stars. I love short stories. What short stories have you read that are good?
