Halloween fun for all.

Well, we are winding down Coffin Hop for another year. You don’t have to miss all the lovely writers and creepy stories. You can visit them anytime. I do hope you will stop in and visit me too. So on Halloween at 5 p.m. PST Princess will pull a name from a bag. 

I always look forward to Halloween all year round. I dress up for the whole day, after all you get a good costume might as well wear it. This is the first year I am going as a ghosts. I have a few Halloween traditions. Breakfast and then dress up. I make a nice spicy chili for tea. I bake cookies or cupcakes in ghost shapes too. I give gifts also to my loved ones and friends. I find fun things to make them smile and pop in some yummy candy. My Halloween Village will be on and the garden will be lit up. We will read nice spooky stories before bed too. I will post pictures of Princess and I dressed up.

Do you have any Halloween traditions? I would love to hear about them. I want to Thank you also for visiting my blog and all the kind words. I am writing and hope to have a new book out by the first of the year.

Sending out Love

Its February and a month of love at my house, son's Birthday, Anniversary and lets not forget Valentine's Day. I think its good to tell the people you love you do love them. I do daily. The people who you know and are grateful are in your life tell them as well. 
If asked what I would want as gifts for any occasion I say books. I have over 2000 books in my house. Nope, don't want to sell or give them away. I have many books by Indie writers as well. Now if you want to read some very well written works try an Indie writer. Yes, a few may be some not your cup of tea but you can find about anything. I also suggest you leave a nice review on Amazon, createspace or smashwords if you like the story. If not let it pass. Being hateful serves no purpose.
I am working on picture book now from photos my Dad took at the end of WWII. I have posted a few on my tumblr account. Many of the photo's have been damaged by the way he storied them. I can't tell you how many times I ask him to not use paperclips in negatives! I lost a few too because he used rubber-bands that melted on the negatives. He was not a great photographer even if he thought he was. He used gun film which many of the pictures have double exposures on them. Ghosts of aircraft on people. I will include those too.
All of you, I am sending you lots of love and saying thank you so much for your kindness and support. You are all the best. So go get books for gifts they last longer than Chocolate but reading and Chocolate do go together! 
My health I get a biopsy on the lump in my neck the 22nd. I still feel like I am choking all the time. Yes, I am scared and hate being on hold. The lump wasn't removed it seems. One Doctor will get an earful. I will be OK in time. Thanks for the caring it means the world to me. I am sending you all big HUGS!

Censorship and Banning Art

This is the twenty-first century and its time we all respect each other. So you may not always agree with someones opinion. So do we ban all books we find disagreeable with our thoughts or morals? What about a piece of art you may not like? How about the facts in history we find uncomfortable? So do censor them all? After all you may be offend by something. I don't always agree with everyone but they have a right to an opinion, I mine and you yours. We should support each others right to write, paint, lifestyles and photographs. 
Let us all accept each other as we are. No, you don't have to read or look at things that you don't agree with. But defend the rights of others to. I write about ghosts and things that go bump in the night and things that may not be. Many don't believe in these things thats Ok. 
Please do not censor my books or anyones book of fiction. I am a lucky person and know many wonderful writers and I would never want any of their books banned because someone finds it offensive. So ask your self do you want someone to tell you what to read, look at or how you should live? If it's no then don't let them censor the internet. A friend said to me "Draconian measures are not the answers." Nicely said.
I am resting and recovering from emergency surgery last week on my neck. So when you don't see me please know I am trying to get better quick. To all who knew and have been sending me love and games thank you, love you all. I will tweet more tomorrow.

It's a New Year!

The holidays are over and the ornaments are put away the new toys are tossed aside. Not all the new toys tossed aside. I have noticed many new e-readers, nooks, kindles and IPads in hands. These are being loved and pampered like a pet. I too am guilty of that. Who doesn't love the something light weight to read. 
So if you got one and some lovely books loaded on it give the writer a check you liked it and a nice review. I am still loading my IPad my son gave me. It is pretty, new and so clear.

I want to wish all a Healthy and Happy New Year. Along with your travels this year take a few good books to read. Please take mine and a few of my friends along too. This year will bring many new changes for us all, it does every year. Take care and remember to be grateful for the small things as well as the large. So New Year's  Eve go have some fun make plans and keep them for those plans are your dreams.

Haunted Bedtime Stories and my Vampire Corgi.

I was so thrilled when Natalie Silva finished the cover of my next book. I love it. This book has a bit of everything. With short stories you can do that. Some of my ghosts are scary, some are very touching and some were never human to begin with. Haunted Bedtime Stories has something for everyone. This isn't a children's book. The editing is finishing up now.

I also want to thank you for your support and love, it helps so much. Princess is a big help even when she is acting like a Vampire! 

It has been three weeks today and my foot is still healing. I am not a patient person. I feel I should be up and running. I have pins in the toes still and sadly still need some pain medicine, which I hate. Next week the pins come out. Not quick enough for me! I have gotten a lot of work done even if Laura is laughing at my spelling. You try and write on pills.

Haunted Bedtime Stories, Haboob's and Agents excuses

We had a nice Dark and Stormy Monsoon. If you saw the massive Haboob in Phoenix it came up from Tucson. We had 70 miles per hour winds. The rain was nice but the wind shook the windows. Now we have humid, hot and stick weather. I hope we get nice storms this weekend.
My foot is healing. It doesn't hurt like it did. Less pain medicine is needed that's always good.
'Haunted Bedtime Stories' is coming alone. A few ghost who are funny, scary and endearing to your heart. I hear you will love it. I think so.
I have read 2 blogs this week who went on about why Agents don't pick you up as a client. The blame still is you, your query letter isn't strong enough, you story is lacking something. Agents are so busy they can't send you sorry letters and that is why you hear nothing or get a form letter. Makes you wonder. I think they just want a grantee that they will make money. Please remember don't think outside the box they hate it. I think everyone is busy. Your time means something even if you are not a famous person yet. You still matter I wish agents felt you did too. I feel saying thank you is important as well.

Thank you and Haunted Bedtime Stories news.

I have a busy week ahead of me. You wont see me for a few days I am to have surgery on my foot. It's badly needed. My fun crazy friends suggested I tweet while on pain killers. No not a good idea! I would be swearing at the telly or something. I will be fine, you just can't kill evil. So this is for all of you thank you for #MM #WW which is writers Wednesday, wine Wednesday or Woof Wednesday take your pick. I hope to be back by #FF if not I am sorry. I will miss having coffee in the morning with you. Also Thank you so much for all the well wishes makes me so happy I have so many kind friends.
At last the next book has a title it is 'Haunted Bedtime Stories' It will have 5 to 6 short stories and most are ghosts. I still have a bit of work to do on it. Its at the editors now so far I hear good things about it. I hope you will like it. The few who have read Haunted Bedtime Stories love it. There is a bit of fun in it as well. Every great horror writer I have met has had a great sense of humor. Check out Jack Ketchum or Stephen King videos.
As you know I live in Arizona and we have so many fires going on. So many people and pets have been dislocated. Sadly many have lost their homes. Short stuff, wild ghosts, blogs and bad weather.

I have been very busy. In the last two weeks I have gotten three stories done and off to be edited. I became an official company with my son and managed to keep thinking. One of the things you do a lot of when you write is think. I think ghosts are running wild in my head some days.  I do outlines in my head, a rough draft on paper and then to the computer to polish it.
I haven't had the time I like to read many blogs. Like you I have a life as well. It is spring still for most of you me its summer 90s F. So during the summer I get most of my heavy writing done. Its just too hot to go out and do much.
This spring has been a sad one, so many have lost their lives due to bad weather. My thoughts are with these people and I wish them and their pets well. If you can give them anything please do. Don't forget the pet food our little four legged kids need to eat as well. Just check out anyone who wants money.
Good news soon I hope from Draven Ames. Show him some love follow him on twitter @DravenAmes. He is a nice family man. One of many who have been so kind to me on twitter.

The ghosts want to be written

This week I have learned so much. Mostly that I follow a lot of good people. I was asked why I say nothing political. Hmmm good question, many reasons, I don't wish to offend anyone. Beside someday I will take over the world and want all to love me. HA HA HA HAA Evil laughing here.
I have worked on the short blog, I have worked on short stories book. I lost a bit so I need to re-do much. The ghosts want to be heard badly. So do you like the idea of an extra story on either a book or ebook? It's a thought we have had around here. I have had the whip cracked by Cheri and Francy today. Yes, I am writing. I also have to do some research for things in my story. I hate reading books that the writer hasn't a clue about things they write. I still need about five more hours a day or no sleep.
This week I will get two stories on the flash drive for editing. I hope to have all the short stories on the flash drive by the end of the month. So if editing goes well and timely I can get this out so I don't get yelled at! I can only write so fast.
I have met a few new people also. I met Morgaine, who is writing a great story. I see her as another Stephanie Meyers. Her story I can see taking off into a serial.  She has a great imagination. English is her second language but she is doing very well. I hope she keeps up the great work.
I saw the Black Swan at long last. Yes, it is a real psychological thriller. Very creepy up to the end. I love a good story and this was one.

Been Writing going to Book sale You?

I am very surprised how my book is doing. So many very kind comment about the story. I am very grateful to all who so kindly tweet about. So what am I doing besides asking people to buy my book? Many things.
I went up to Phoenix last week to the annual VSNA book sale. Its a charity sale of books of every kind you can imagine. The doors open at 8 am and always a line. This year it only took an hour in line. I have many books going up for next years sale. The household WWII nut has trimmed his books down. I fear this is to add more books. I did find an first edition book by Ernie Pile. I do believe we now how all his books and first editions too boot. Also tons of maps and many free ones as well. If your in Phoenix in Feb you really need to check out this sale its only one weekend but so worth it. You will see people with shopping carts full of books, to take home. Great fun for a good cause.
This week I have had a few ideas for short stories. So I have been writing. Well I have some say I can have 5 short stories done and edited by May 1st. I will try. As for having my book done in book form. We are waiting on all the sales reports for a month. Son my boss says he feels I need to sell at least 50 print books to make it cost effective. I also hope to add a few never before seen pictures of Tombstone,Arizona. I have been asked if it was a real town still. Yes it is, thats why they call it 'The Town to Tough to Die'. So if you interested please leave a comment on here for me. If you want a signed book I would be more than happy too.
I have also been very lucky to meet many cool writers on twitter. If you can follow a Debbie Mack such a great lady. Her writing is great and very interesting just check her work out.

Thank you all so much for your support. The book is doing surprising well. I have been ask if it will be out in a hard copy. The answer is my boss and I are looking in to that now. My son is the boss and he says we will see in a week how well 'Dust of Tombstone' does.
So I have tried to promote the book as best I can. Its not easy to say hi here look my book. I have had many have said hi back, good job, and I have to read it. Which is so nice to hear. My son has made a Facebook fan page for me. Please follow if you can. Thank you again.
I have been working a few short stories. My boss aka son says you need to get this done and out by May. OK don't count on it. I will try very hard but I am human.
